awareness

duality past the smallest element
separates mind and body.
but unity sees no difference,
energy and awareness are the same.

existence intersection,
pieces merge to make another moment
here and gone, no reason to last
past what it does to meet its part.

this firing of several cells, are they
just the bright dot in our field of view?
is this electricity awareness
by itself, and we its sum?

deep black wall of sound, is hearing
moth wing beating nerve and muscle
alone? still, what do we know
immersed in light and well of silence?

being of energy, awareness, feeling,
moves through air, on ground, in water.
rocks, fence, apples, being energy,
are they aware too?

mind open to spirit, universe
is above and so below.
travel one foot here, once there,
life spans layers.
